Transition Kit for 1728 to 6912 Fiber Cables
The XBR+ Series breakout kit is designed to be used to manage ribbon groups in high fiber count (1728, 3456, and 6912) cables so that they can be routed for splicing or terminated directly when used as part of a termination solution. They include a mounting bracket for wall or rack mount applications.
Easy Installation
The Modular design of the XBR+ kit makes it easy to install by breaking down ribbon fiber groups within snap in modular adapters. Each adapter can hold up to 4 ribbon subgroups in color-coded tubing for ease of identification. Once the cable has been broken out the rest of the installation can be completed with a screwdriver and small wrench or pliers.
Stackable for Maximum Rack Density
The innovative design of the mounting bracket allows for stacking of multiple breakouts on the side of the rack. The breakout is angled just enough so that many cables can be stacked on the same side of the rack.
Secure Routing
The XBR+ Series Breakout Kit can be mounted in a variety of locations for ultimate flexibility. For example, mount on the inside of the back rail to make routing to splice panels easy. In a 2 post rack, mount on the inside of the rack and let the angle of the adapters guide the tubing to the splice trays in the patch panel. The Polyethylene tubing is flexible enough to route in patch panels, but rigid enough to offer secure protection of ribbon fibers.
